The first town after the stunningly beautiful 40 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in Vancouver to the Sunshine Coast. Gibsons (population: 4,900) earned "Most Liveable Community under 20,000" (2009) in a world-wide competition by the UN-backed International Awards for Liveable Communities. Lower Gibsons offers charming seaside shops and excellent restaurants, and many neighbourhoods afford incredible ocean views.

Located 30 minutes from Langdale ferry terminal, and ideally situated between Halfmoon Bay and Gibsons, Sechelt (population 10,900) is the hub of the Sunshine Coast.  The community offers vibrant shopping, dining and entertainment experiences, while being surrounded by incredibly pristine parks and beaches.  Porpoise Bay, with its calm inlet waters, is a favourite spot for water activities and two seaplane companies make travelling to Vancouver or Nanaimo a breeze.
